VIVA LA VIDA

So I promised you guys I would start where we ended, but first you must promise, in order to capture this day's true essence have to play this while you read. If you've loaded it, here goes nothing. We ate then slept. Here's Tiffany getting ready for bed.
The next morning however I was greeted by Ricardo and a cup of fine Good Earth Black Tea steaming hot on my desk, courtesy of Rico. Coffee is for old people who have no energy and young people who want to look old, tea is for the truly sophisticated.
Yum, prettty energizing, and right now that's just what I need. Hopefully those antioxidants really do prolong your life, because mine's going pretty quickly right now. Thanks Jenny for the mug, Thanks Rico for the tea, and Thanks Chinese Emperor Shen Nong for inventing tea accidentally.
We decided since we got tea we should make use of it and do something productive like check the mail and eat. Off we go!
I'm quite suprised Rico opened up his mailbox on the first try because damn...I've spent multiple hours at one before, I think the ones in Revelle have restrooms next to them because people spend so long. There's a spider by mine, he's lucky I don't have to check my mail today.
Check this bike Rico and I saw on our way to vista. Bravo sir, Bravo!
Oh during brunch or more like linner, Rico and I sat outside and decided to give an old friend a call in the name of Alton/Bobby/BBerg. Caught up on old times, he's doing well in Tuft's for all of you who are worried as I know many of the people I know know the Berg man.
That day ended with homework and cookies, and it was Jenny and me's 4 month, and sometimes you just have to leave the camera behind and enjoy life with the ones you love without saving but rather savoring it while you're in the moment.
The next morning started bright and early with class and Lindsay showing up unexpectedly to go to the Bookstore with Rico to buy some HUM books. Shes not very happy, with anything these days but there she is. You'll see more of her during the major party.
Riding a fixie to and from class is probably the most fun thing i've ever done ever eva.
Rose can weave kid. That's all you need to know.
I didn't have class after 2 that day so I decided to set up shop and Jenny's and do work. Here's my office. OH:Mon 2-5, Wed 2-6, Friday 2-3
Oh Rico dropped by picked me up and we headed back to Warren, but of course we couldn't without running into someone, this time Maximo Dosbueno. We would luckily end up recruiting him to Alejandro's, a new mexican food place that my BofA banker told me I should try and he convinced me by saying it was better than Rigoberto's, eh it was close, not somewhere I would go all the time, but maybe if I was in the neighborhood.
Here's Rico doing his best Chris Martin in Viva la Vida. Prettttty good.
This is him running away from his problems, hopefully the don't catch up. They are pretty bulky though, especially his divorce.
Emmy lit the way as usual. You can't see it, but i have my GPS on, Global Post-it system. Its the new blue version.
Alejandro's was a little more ghetto than Rigoberto's if that says anything, it was just as good, just a little too far. It was pretty damn good though. These fools were maddoging us, thankfully Rico was there to ward off fools. Maybe Alejandro's will pay me for advertising.
Even on our way back to the dorm we run into more people in the form of Jocelyn and Cortney, two of the nicer people you'll ever meet, they were baking cake and watching a movie tonight. Yum, too bad we had cooooookies and ice cream waiting.
Tiffany enjoyed the burrito we brought back to her. She was in class until 830pm! She killed it pretty quick, said she got a stomache ache after, hmmmm wonder why.
There's Tiffany doing homework like usual as we leave her. You'll see her like this more and more often as the year progresses.
Rico ended up having to write a two page paper on an olive tree and reading, so here he goes. I think he is Tiffany's antithesis, somehow he still does well in school.... what the hell. POD: Rico burning the late night oil/florescent light doing work.
Night, kid

FOR WHO IT MAY CONCERN

Hey Alton, here's a little taste of Rose for you:

5 BUCKS, 9 PEOPLE, 1 PHOTOBOOTH

Today starts of bright and early at 8:15 for me and 8:30 for Rico, Chen and Jackson. They weren't too fond of that. I still got them out of bed to Matthews B-1 but not by 9:15 am, so its only been about an hour and I've already lost money to Tiffany. Whatever I couldn't be sad today, it was zoo day! After a quick pitstop at the golden arches we got to the San Diego Zoo. We're rolling 9 deep to the zoo...how thug.
This guy has the job of looking over the most dangerous animals: People in cars. Good luck buddy, I hear they have to replace those guys every other week.
So after paying for our discounted tickets (thank you Jenny) we decided a quick bus tour should be first on the agenda. It was pretty fun, we got on the top deck, but the lady giving the tour was just pissy to me hardcore. I don't really want to bring it up again.
Chen is pretty damn excited, too bad, you should've seen him an hour ago, he looked like an extra on resident evil the movie. I don't blame him, everyone was pretty zombie-like in the morning. Except for the girls suite who were more angry than tired, sorry again.
Oh this is Ricardo again if you didn't remember.
Here goes the tour. Oh this is when Rico intimidated the bear. That's the look he gets when he usually meets someone new, he first scopes him out to decide whether or not he can punk them. I think Rico would've gotten the better of that Asian black bear.
Damn ever since i was a little kid I've loooved elephants, I don't know if they are favorite status, but they are preetttty high up there. I think these were friends.
First panda of the day, probably one of the largest in North America.
Jennifer is going to kill me, but I thought this summed up her happiness due to the zoo prettty well.
Chen has a love/fear relationship with snakes. Most of the venomous ones were missing or hiding...hmmmmmmmm I wonder where they got to?  No worries, I got Sam Jack on speed dial.
'No offense but if you need a seeing eye dog, why would you come to the zoo?' Always insightful Chen is.
After the bus tour and a little detour we took to the skies in the skyfari.
So we walked a while for the polar bears and they were probably the most active and fun animal we saw all day. Here is the group photo with the original polar bears from Terminator 6:Antarctic Armeggedon.
During the tour Tour-essa promised us a wolf and a cheetah fighting to the death at Hunte's ampitheater at 2 o clock. We went in anticipation and we sorely denied such a fight. Still coool i guess, just not as cool as intensely fighting animals.
Polar bears are awesome and all but my heart is still with the asian panda bear. There was a line to see them but all the greatest attractions have lines. Chen, Jackson, and Rico decided gorillas were more worth their time.
This one just hung around in the tree sleeping, pretttty gangster until he fell. Just kidding Panda bears are totally graceful.
After we found Ricardo and the gang at the gorillas we were going to attemp our photobooth world record till Tiffany found a peacock she wanted to hug. Suprising as she doesn't really like hugs, weird huh?
9 people in one booth, what can i say other than: hernia, chronic back pain, disfigurement. It was worth it.
Tiffany smiles again. I bet it won't happen more than 6 more times this year, so really the endangered pandas weren't the rarest thing we saw today.
KOALLAS! I feel they are a great, and cute animal. I mean anything with a resemblance of Albert Einstein is sure to be great.
I feel I really capture the essence of Ricardo Tomayo Gonzalez III here. He's just geniunely happy to see the koallas and isn't really concentrating on anything else but what is around him.
Back to reality though, its still pretttyy early in the day, about 4:30. We get back to UCSD and with no suprise its total cloud cover overhead. All other places in SD are sunny but UCSD is cloudy....hmmm maybe the Fog is really coming true.
I think this is the POD just because Chen slept like a brick no matter what I did. I was swerving around trying to wake him up but it just didn't happen. He's not used to having to get up early on a weekend. Poor Chen. The rest of the day was kind of a blur but I will add that stuff next time. You all have aready had enough for the day, I'm going to have to cut you off.

TELL THOSE HALFTIME FOOLS: BREAK'S OVER!

Break's over kids. New day new face, and finally Kristin Muench is here. She's one of the most awesome people you can meet, nicer than Oprah at an orphanage, almost as cool as Dan Wulbert on a fixed gear (PS I will be getting a picture of that if that is all I do this year, I saw him walking with one but I didnt have my camera and he wasn't riding), and just as much fun as a barrel of monkeys. This picture was kind of blurry as there was something cooking in the other room which i had to hurry this picture for, but the blur is like a little piece of her quick, hectic, and probably fun lifestyle.

Basically school started and I got realllly tired of it already. I didn't take any pictures of school and my times during it because it's just not something I care to remember, maybe some other time but not now. So the halftime which was summer to the first two years of college is over and with it so are the halftime shows and the traditional getting up to get a hot dog and basically any festivities. If you didn't guess I'm already tired of the food at school, so Jenny and I went out to trader joe's and ralph's aand loaded up on some cooking gooodies for dinner with Tiffany. Tiffany took out the trash, Jenny cooked and baked, I pulled a bowl from the tall cabinent.

Trader Joe's orange chicken, japanese rice, and annie chun's noodles. Yummmmm. 'You know whats good? That's good'

Oh Tiffany mad again, suprise suprise.

Oh we did attract some guests in the form of my roommate Ricardo because we told them we had cookies, which were made from scratch by the lovely miss Manegold.

Sorry to all who were looking for an amazing post but this one is going to end here, sorry, if you're jonesing for more of my thoughts you'll get a greeat fix tomorrow because its going to be a good one. This night just ended with Chen and Jackson coming and killing off some more cookies and Chen brought me some raspberry cheesecake. Then we just basically ended the night with some chillin, picture taking and getting ready for tomorrow!
Oh wait we ran into Sylvia Courtney and Ari on the way back, we always run into someone.

Here's that picture I was talking about, we're going to work on it because it's not perfect or exactly the way I want it yet.
POD: Everything blurry but Rico, like real life.
