CHRIS

The first two years of my college experience have been much more than I could ask for, and a very large part of the reason is because this man, Chris Lim. Little did I know that moving in next door to our RA would turn out so well. He has always been less of an RA and more of a suite mate turned good friend. A big reason why my first year turned out so well is because Chris made is so fun to be a resident, I can recall countless late nights in the lounge hanging out and doing the most random things. Now after my second year, after working at a lab job he helped me get, and riding a bike he sold me, I'm definitely glad I know Chris. Just for those three things I owe him a lot.
It's also nice having someone who knows everything and yet can still come and play ball on the weekends. This foool's a beast of a player on the court, don't second guess it. I guess where I'm going with all of this is that he will be missed. I hope he knows he's got friends that will treat him like family out in the West Coast still even if he will be out East. He's a special guy and the world needs more hard-working, cool people like Chris. I hope I see him again, and if there were anybody who deserved a great chance at med school, it would be him. Good Luck, kill it, and it's not 'goodbye', it's 'see you later'.
Rico had something to say about our friend Chris... "if ever there was an award for coolest guy on earth, Chris Lim would tie for second with Elton John right behind Mike Tyson. The award would not measure penis size but rather heart size, not to say that Chris has an enlarged heart, but letss be honest...he's not the healthiest eater. He would win it on merit too, for he has done much for us and the world. For example, I once saw him brush his teeth and clip his nails while relieving himself in the bathroom. Those are skills that no college professor can teach, only the best of RA's. Chris, if you're reading this, you need to know that you are one special sounavabitch and that knowing you gives us the ultimate bragging rights."

One more picture blog about Chris to come up before Thursday. Just remember 'Home is where the heART is'. Immortality, son.

PISTolA

So if you have seen me lately, it has probably been on a bike, because I am riding my newest toy as much as I can. The Bianchi, the Italian dream bike, now in my possession all because of a good pal Chris who sold it to me. Sadly I had to get rid of Rose, but there's no way I could pass up this pista. So classy...
I really do owe Chris a lot, probably too much to pay back for...I'm glad I'll always have this bike to remember him by, this puppy is never leaving my possession.

Quite a beautiful piece of machinery the Italians have put together.

LIFE IN MARVELOUS TIMES

It took me a while to start writing this one. So the end of the year came, and how quickly it all did happen. Living on campus is over now, a bittersweet feeling. I like living so close to class and others students, but now I feel more free and more like an adult. Either way, classes went well and summer is starting off fine as well. One thing I will miss terribly when I'm off campus is that Chen's suite won't be so close anymore, particularly his guacamole. It's such a strange gift this man has, but its some of the best stuff I've had.
Searching for avocados in Earl's Place sadly will never probably happen again, but hey hopefully we'll still be able to find some elsewhere.
Oh I forgot to mention, a certain someone is out of school in San Marcos and decided to stop by and get in on some grub. Too bad it was finals week when she stopped by, either way it was a fun time.

You all know who this is... this is him finishing some of his last days at UCSD catering until August. I speak on his behalf when I say we're pretty glad to get out of that hell hole of a suite.
Oh I've found out that Mexican coke is the bomb. If you fancy yourself a connoisseur of soda you definitely should try some.

So Ms. Jennifer Manegold got me a little something special for our 1 year anniversary in the form of a bike. 1/9th the size of a real one, it has a fixed gear and runs like a dream. It's a nice little thing to have on your shelf to remind you to get outside once in a while and get on a bike.
While we're on the topic of new worldly possession which I have acquired, my new Ipod touch has stricken quite a chord in Rico and Chen, and prompted many out-doings of one another in CubeRunner. So far no one has been able to beat Rico's score of 400 something.

So for the first week of summer, I've spent my nights in the Gonzalez household. They kindly let me stay in their home while the new apartment is getting ready so that I can go to work without too far of a drive. It's been fun seeing the different side of San Diego with Rico, especially Tacos El Gordo, if you're ever by Highland St., do yourself a favor and stop by. I don't like endorsing companies on my blog, but I feel such a good thing needs to be spread. It's been nice having Rico doubling as a psuedo-tour guide to the theme park which is South East San Diego.
We decided to give some friends a call and headed over to the UCSD Islands for a burger and bottomless fries.

Kristin happened to be one of those friends, who will be down in SD for the summer. Hopefully we'll see a lot more of her between her 20 hour work weeks for Nasa and all her other projects.

Oh that's Jack, he's a shopper in training. We'll definitely see him around if we want any of that guacamole. Nice cart, don't buy too much.
Free ice cream never tasted so good, too bad it disappeared much too quickly.
That was that, this is this, I'm back in LF and probably going to commute to SD for work Monday, hopefully the apartment will be ready soon. I'll let you guys know as soon as I do.

THE FAST LIFE

It's crazy how easily you can pack your life into the back of a green
station wagon volvo. Too bad actually packing isn't nearly as easy
seeing as how all main roads at UCSD were closed for a crucial hour
for commencement of the newest class. I'm living the good life right
now, summer living is easy but work starts soon and I'll be a little
busier. I think I'll be able to play ball whenever I want and
basically do whatever. I'm pretty excited to move into the new
apartment and start living with the new roommate. I promised you guys
more photos over the summer and you'll get them, hopefully soon as I
will be living with rico for a week so I'm really excited for the fun
to come. But as of now I'm just glad living in that hell hole is over
and I can now stretch my legs a little.

ALL HAIL THE KING

Crazy weather out here in the south of California. Hail and rain a couple of hours ago and now I'm sitting atop a sunny balcony on pach hall enjoying the view. I like to think there was a small rain storm because the lakers are practicing for game one tomorrow, causing outbreaks of rain. Soon we will see Kobe start his ascension to the throne and I'm pretty excited. California needs to start it's summer weather already though. Good luck studying everyone.

31,6220,400

That many seconds in a year. I know that there are less in a school year, but it's crazy to think that second year is nearly over and we'll all be moving off campus. Half of my undergrad schooling is over, and it's been quite good. I'll look forward to seeing you all in the summer and next year. More photos in the summer, I promise. It's strange how quickly seconds turn into years.

RAINY DAY

It's been really gloomy here at UCSD lately if you haven't been in
town. The looming finals are definitely extra weight on our collective
shoulders. I'll be moving into a new place with new people soon, so
I'll keep you posted with photos of the new changes soon. Life's
changing a lot, I think I have started feeling those 20 years kick in
with the way life has been lately. Definitely feel more like an adult
now. I haven't seen the sun in the longest of times. Not like weather
is that big of a deal but I feel it really helps make a day feel
better sometimes, there's something about riding your bike in the sun,
or simply releasing melanin that makes me feel better. Here's to an
old friend, the sun. Good luck. Bye.
