THE CHICANO STRUGGLE
This is the first time I've blogged from the iPod, oh how far technology has come. I am sitting in Hild right now, listening to a man preaching about the Chicano struggle, only to have it fall on deaf ears, or displaced attention. I see plenty, including myself on computers and ipods surfing the net. I just feel Rico could teach this class better.
ENUMERATION OF ENDS
So Saturday was the official end of my teenagerdom, and I don't feel any different. I'm glad Friday I had a lot of good company to ease me out of being a teenager, it's nice to know I can still enjoy good food with caring friends.
Look who showed, Big Lim, I owe this man a lot. Still dropping by to show some love.
After 2 years of knowing Ricardo, I'm glad to be so well associated with him. The life of the party never quits, and always a loyal friend, made it out even though he could've started his Memorial day weekend early.
Ah Matthews B-1 came out too. Good stuff, Thanks so much for the gifts, I love them and will cherish and use them for the longest of time.

Rico ended up getting some Coca-Cola in Chris' Gnocchi, it tasted good none the less.

What you know about rockets?

After diner we dropped down to the bowling alley and got our bowl and arcade on, with Rico as usual taking the challengers on the air hockey table. Tough losses tonight though, it's his ankle i think.
Tiffany and Chris played pool against me and Nina.
I don't have a picture of it, but I hit a game winning trick shot that could go down in history as my best shot ever.

Here's my best Derek Fisher impression: running out of the arena as he hit the game winning shot, you should've been there.
Well the rest is just a blur that shouldn't really be documented through hard fact and photo, but rather memory and chat. This is the end of my teenage years, and the start of new things, but I hope that I will always keep what I really need, a group of caring friends and endless amounts of fun memories. Keep making memories everyone.
THE ODYSSEY THROUGH THE ILLIAD
Hey everyone, its been a long time, but hopefully I haven't lost all of you yet. I'm just going to drop some photos of Rico in the hardest moments of his pre Illiadesent life. He's got to finish a 12 pg essay on the Illiad and Odyssey by finals week, and he hasn't finished either.

There are few other things I like other than photographing Ricardo. The great thing is he never sees the camera, he's just always himself.

Ah the blur that is our life now, how I wish I could just savor every moment of everyday. We never change, we keep moving.
Speaking of moving, Rico can't. His ankle is swollen enough that it meets the circus's requirements for an elephant man show. This dude is a real thug when it comes to soccer, no bull. He knows how to play, and has a pretty good record to prove it to you. I expect him to get better within a week or so, I expect him to play within a couple days, that's how dedicated he is to this sport. Viva Calcio.

The Cool
Over this weekend I've had a lot of free time since I kind of owe it to myself. I'm glad I got to play a lot of basketball this weekend, but also get into another one of my passions, art. This one is a little piece I whipped up today, and with some ideas from Ricardo I perfected it. Here it is for your viewing pleasure.
This idea arose when my good buddy Ricardo and I were having a chat and he made an interesting argument that kids these days don't have anything to be proud in, but they still find undeserving things, which they claim to be proud of. They often demand a respect that they have not earned, unwilling to start at the bottom and work up. This is a little critique on those who are proud of their streets, elaborately building asphalt into something of high praise, willing to die for their 'hood'.
